Homeowner’s Representation for Better Builds

We handle early project vetting and scope definition so you can price the job with confidence.

Let’s Build Better Projects Together

If you’re a residential builder or contractor interested in smoother projects and better client experiences, we’d welcome a conversation.

Our Team

Strata brings a proven project governance model from commercial construction, “owner’s representative,” into the residential market.

We operate as independent, client-side advocate focused on clarity, structure, and professional outcomes.

Matt Tidwell

With years of experience as a professional project manager and as a licensed contractor, I’ve developed a genuine appreciation for home projects, solving complex challenges and seeing each idea come to life. What began as a personal remodel grew into a lasting appreciation for the many layers of a home and the skilled trades that bring each one to life.

Through Strata, I combine my project management background with a love of craftsmanship to help homeowners navigate their projects with clarity, confidence, and trust that every detail is handled with care.

Co-Owner | Project Director

I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of beauty and function, and how thoughtfully designed spaces can shape the very core of our daily experience. What began as a professional passion for storytelling and design evolved into a hands-on love for creating environments that truly reflect the people who live in them.

Through Strata, I bring together years of experience in project management, marketing, and art direction with my eye for design to guide clients through every step of the process, ensuring their vision is realized.

Why Partner with Strata?

We aren't "another cook in the kitchen." We are the prep chefs who make sure the ingredients are ready before you start the fire.

  • Ready-to-Go Projects: We refine scopes, finalize material selections, and align budgets before you're asked to provide a formal bid.

  • Decision Velocity: We manage the homeowner’s timeline. When you need a finish selection or a sign-off, it’s already documented and ready.

  • Reduced Admin Burden: We handle the "emotional labor" and repetitive questions, serving as a professional filter for client communications.

  • Fewer Change Orders: By creating a stable project foundation during the planning phase, we minimize mid-construction pivots that eat your margin.

The Strata Process

By following a clear and structured process, we keep the momentum high, the stress low, and your project on track.

Plan & Spec

We define the "What." We create the scope and the plan before anyone starts working.

Bidding

We find the "Who." We gather apples-to-apples bids from our vetted network of contractors to ensure quality workmanship that meets our rigorous professional standards.

Management

We handle the 'How.' We are your on-site eyes and ears, protecting your timeline, budget, and the integrity of the project.

Walkthrough

We ensure "Success." We verify every detail is correct before the project is officially closed.

How Partnerships Work

Strata is not embedded in contractor operations.
We integrate into the project ecosystem, not the business.

In practice:

  • Contractors introduce Strata as an independent client-side advisor on projects or homeowners engage Strata directly

  • Strata structures planning and scope before construction

  • Contractors bid on clearer, better-defined projects

  • Builds move forward with less friction

Flexible, Homeowner-Paid Support

Homeowners engage Strata directly through a scalable, flexible model.

  • $125/hour — planning, design coordination, project support

Even limited early-stage involvement creates better structure — and better builds.
